Carol:  What artist do you feel influenced you the most?
J.R. Writer:  Tupac.

C:  Are there any producers that you would like to collaborate with that you haven't already?
JRW:  Dr. Dre, Neptunes, and Timbaland.

C:  What's the hardest lesson you had to learn since deciding to pursue a future with the Diplomats?
JRW:  The game is slimey, not everybody's your real friend in this. Everybody's in it for themselves.

C:  What was the video you shot in Toronto, and when is it coming out?
JRW:  Some group flew me out there to be in the video, cause I was featured on the track....but it wasn't my video though so i really don't know.

C:  Not including anyone in the Diplomats, which rappers that are out right now do you listen to/think are good?
JRW:  Jadakiss and Eminem.

C:  Are you going to rap in Spanish? Do any thing reggatone?
JRW:  Yeah not all the way through. I've done two or three songs like that (reggatone) me and Juelz actually did the gangsta music reggatone version.

C:  How do you feel about other less "street" mc's such as Common, Talib Kweli, Mos Def, etc.?
JRW:  Don't really listen to them. Don't really care for them or that kind of music.

C:  What is Dipset? What does it mean to you?
JRW:  Dipset is a movement that you need to be in tune with. It's a movement that starts trends. We're trendsetters that a lot of people follow.

C:  What inspired you to rap?
JRW:  Umm, I was about 11/12 years old. I grew up around the way in Douglas projects. I ran around with the old crowd and we'll go to house parties. One day they told me about this party where there was going to be madd bitches and liquor. They told me that we're going to rap and I was like rap? They said you don't know how to rap? They brought me to the party and that's how I started. Over the years I wanted to focus on that.

C:  What makes you different from other rappers?
JRW:  Not a lot of rappers put passion into their music. People be putting out bullshit. The industry is too commercialized. I feel that I'm what the games been missing. I got the heat rocks.

C:  When you rap is it based on your life experiences?
JRW:  Yes, it's based on my struggles. It's based on what I see my friends and brother go through.

C:  What's the craziest thing a fan has ever done?
JRW:  One time there was this white dude from Alaska following me around the club repeating my lines. Also this one time I was at a store and this Asian tourist came up to me like ,"J.R. Writer" ( asian accent). They had flew in from Japan. That was crazy!

C:  All the ladies want to know if you're single?
JRW:  Yes, I'm single.

C:  Most memorable moment in the studio?
JRW:  When I was doing the intro for Diplomatic Immunity. Seeing everyone jump around, it was a good moment.

C:  What's the craziest rumor you heard in the streets about you and the Diplomats?
JRW:  That I write Cam's lines. And that Cam is signing onto my label. Cause he mentioned it on the radio but he used it as an example.

C:  When can we expect an album? Any collabos?
JRW:  June/July. So far I got Juelz on the album. I'm thinking of contacting Baby, besides him no one else in mind.

C:  Does your family support you?
JRW:  They all support me, they download all my music.

C:  Where do you see yourself in five years?
JRW:  On top, an entrepreneur. Putting out artist. Having plates on my wall.

C:  What are your hobbies?
JRW:  Chillin, clubbing. I'm a laid back person.

C:  How you got connect with Diplomats?
JRW:  A friend of mine from Taliban, Luca Brazi, introduced me to Cam.

C:  You have a label?
JRW:  I got a record label named Writer's Block. I got an artist named, Show, he's freestyling on mixtapes. Just trying to start my own movement. Got a lot of people trying to get down. It's nothing major yet, but it will become a great empire.

C:  Any projects in the work?
JRW:  Diplomats will be shooting a movie named "What's Really Good", released next September. I'll be releasing a documentary a month before my album which is a film about my performances, studio times, etc. I just did a shot for Word-Up magazine.

C:  Have any last words for your fans?
JRW:  Keep looking out for me. Writers Block 2 out in two weeks. Going to be crazy stupid. Go cop Diplomatic Immunity 2 and Purple Haze, out in stores now. Look out for my album in June/July. Shout outs to the Diplomat family. Thank you!
